David Fowler is Doing Big Things for Arizona’s Cannabis Culture

There is always a lot of talk in Arizona about various cannabis dispensaries and brands that they carry but what about the people of Arizona’s cannabis industry? One person within the state’s cannabis industry is making big waves. David Fowler is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of MITA (Marijuana Industry Trade Association). David Fowler has a vast amount of experience in the cannabis industry, however. Starting in 2015 as the Co-Founder and Executive Marketing Director of the Southwest Cannabis Conference and Expo and the Southeast Cannabis Conference and Expo.

MITA is one of his current endeavors and does a lot for the cannabis industry. The main goal at MITA is to create a network for dedicated industry professionals to grow the cannabis industry through education and transparency. They host monthly networking events that are open to all ages 21 and up. These networking events share information about the cannabis industry across the United States discussing policy change as well as what’s to come for the industry in Arizona.

David Fowler is also bringing cannabis to the entertainment sector as the Founder and CEO of “Cannaval”, a cannabis festival. Cannaval is a marijuana-friendly event taking place every year since 2017, at the end of February. The event has live DJs, food, and drinks. David Fowler took the name and idea from “Carnival”, the Brazilian festival that lasts for five days in Rio De Janeiro. The Cannaval event is just two days long but it brings people from around the state together in one place, to enjoy good entertainment and togetherness.

David Fowler did not start in cannabis. According to his LinkedIn, in 1996 he was the National Sales Coordinator for CDI Corporation. At CDI, Fowler oversaw all sales in many of the company’s multiple engineering disciplines. Then in 2015, Fowler got into the cannabis industry with the Cannabis Conference & Expo founding. Making the change in industries came at a great time for him it would seem. According to a Reddit post by u/Defiant_Race_7544, there was a report stating that the Arizona cannabis industry raked in $1.35 billion in revenue for the year 2021.

It is easy to see how business savvy David Fowler is and the opportunities that can create within Arizona’s booming cannabis industry, as well as its cannabis culture. MITA brings together innovative people within the industry to network and share ideas in a way that hasn’t been done before. Cannaval brings people closer to the culture. With these and his other numerous projects, David Fowler continues to do big things for Arizona’s Cannabis Industry.
