Jarrod’s: Coffee with a Splash of Community

Jarrod’s Coffee, Tea, and Gallery is a beautiful coffee shop in Downtown Mesa, AZ on the Main St. strip. Jarrod’s however is more than just amazing coffee and tea; they are a fast-growing community favorite! At Jarrod’s they give back to the community by hosting events where the community can network and experience togetherness.

At Jarrod’s, they do things differently! Growing from a jewelry store, Jarrod’s brought their coffees and teas to Mesa in 2015.

Jarrod Martinez is the owner of Jarrod’s Coffee, Tea, and Gallery and says that he had no coffee shop experience before starting Jarrod’s, stating “My business partner brought up the idea of adding coffee”.

Coffee isn’t the only thing on Jarrod’s menu though. There are amazing teas, and the pastries are to die for. You can even find a caffeinated “Dip n’ Dots” style coffee ice cream for sale by the register.

Terri Ross is the manager at Jarrod’s and is known around the coffee shop as “TJ”. TJ is part of the Native American community and has been with Jarrod’s since its inception. She says that before Jarrod’s came about, the store was “Solid Rock”. They sold and created beautifully handcrafted turquoise jewelry that is still sold inside Jarrod’s.

Jarrod’s is always giving back to the community whether it's by allowing local artists to sell their art there or by giving the community a calm and welcoming place to relax. You can also find vendors out front of Jarrod’s on many days selling things they have made. This place is very much community driven!

When visiting Downtown Mesa next, make sure you stop at Jarrod’s and grab a cup of coffee with a pastry. The best part is when you support Jarrod’s Coffee, Tea, and Gallery you support the community.
